Lets try and get the engine properly before anything else.
The one cylinder is low, hopefully it might come up a bit when the engine has been run awhile.

The compression numbers aren't that bad for an older rebuild or original. Mine has had 45# since I bought in 1975. This engine was rebuilt in 1961. And not all compression gauges are created equal, there can be quite a variant between them.
