New radiator installation procedure?
Is it easier to install the new radiator in the car and then slide the shell down over it or should the radiator be installed in the shell first prior to putting it in the car? Still waiting on the new radiator......early Nov.

Re: New radiator installation procedure?
I find it easier with the shell out of the way to secure the pads, bottom bolts, springs, washers, and cotter pins. Then slip the shell on and secure it.
Good luck with the new rad! |

Re: New radiator installation procedure?
I tape cardboard over both sides of the radiator during the install, then remove after the job is done. (lessens the damage and the "dammit" potential.)
