When I bought my car it had no wipers.

My car is 12v.

I want to add a wiper - but I note that most motors state that once fitted it is not possible to swing open the front screen.

I want to be able to open the screen - anyone know of an alternative ?

I was also thinking about the el cheapo hand wiper - anyone use this type ??

The manual wipers were only on the open cars. Not sure you could even mount it to a coupe.

They make an electric wiper kit that you can still open your front window.

With my 1928 coupe I modified an aftermarket 6V unit to fit outside the windshield. Even with it being tall, I can still open the windshield about two inches which as it turns out just enough to get the full effect of the "air conditioning"
