I think it is very sanitary, and nicely done. I would like to have seen the engine compartment, -especially the water pump and fan to see how that was done. A Model-B exhaust manifold mimics the Model-T manifold well. I have an A engine in a T frame, and the rear engine mounts are small fabricated mounts that work well albeit not much room moving/installing the flywheel housing to mount bolts.

[B]Years ago I talked with the man at Disneyland, in L.A, that gave rides in an "ANTIQUE" car, up & down MAIN STREET. The engine was a 2 cylinder Continental, air cooled one, to give it a PUTT-PUTT sound. The WHOLE car was a NEW REPRODUCTION.

What you see as something messed up, I see as something pretty cool. The switch to model A running gear would make it quite drivable for parades etc., and much easier to handle than a T, for the average Joe. Might be over powered for the wooden spoke wheels though, what with the chain reduction and extra hp. I'd let it park in my shop.

I think it looks great! So what if it's not original. Too many over restored Model A's around, some with paint jobs better than Henry could ever have produced and their owners think they are original. Cars have been modified by owners since they were invented.....some really unique and beautiful and some real dogs. Check out prices on the very high end auctions of older real classic cars. Many of them have seen one or more body changes, modifications and modern paint but still bring $1 mil and up.

What a great Frankenstein Hot Rod. Nice to see it's kept in an appropriate place.

I've seen a couple of real Smith Form-A-truck Model Ts...they're a wonderful piece of brass era engineering.
