Default Oil filter question - Kenz adapter

The Kenz oil filter adapter reportedly came with Motorcraft FL-1 filter. That filter is apparently no longer available, but FL-1A shows up. Does anyone know the difference between the FL-1 and the FL-1A, and will the FL-1A work on the Kenz adapter? Or a NAPA equivalent? Thanks.

The FL-1A works fine as do the other manufacturers equivalents. I like the Wix that is shorter than the FL's since I have a 90 degree adapter on the original purchased from Bill Kenz adapter I have. There threads about it on here somewhere...

Best regards,

The FL-1A is the same size as FRAM PH8A or WIX 51515. Napa Gold 1515 is a WIX filter with the Napa name on it. Paint it with some Ford Engine Green paint before you install and it looks a lot better.

I also like the Wix 51515, same as Napa 1515, or Fram PH8A. There are many brands that will fit. Fram PH16 is shorter but will fit.

Edit: Same as Sam says, I was typing and didn't see his post.
