1931 Ford Model A Deluxe Pick Up 66-A
Anyone know what the actual selling price of one of these has been lately? $65,000 seems a little on the high side.

Based on that ones show record you'd be hard pressed to restore a twin to that condition for less money. At one time someone was making reproduction beds, don't know if they are still available.

There was a blue one at the Natchez Trace Tour, I thought these were 155A's, not a 66A, but I didn't check before I sent this.

Here's a thought, if the reproduction Deluxe beds are still available, and Brookville makes a nice reproduction Roadster pickup cab wouldn't that make a nice looking vehicle?

That has already been done. Mike Butcher was affiliated with building a pair of them. One went to Saudi Arabia or ???. Bob, the thing I am not sure of is whether they actually ever reproduced those beds commercially since there is wood and sheetmetal involved. I am thinking they did not. |

As rare as the body type is, to me the price is not that far out there.

I bought the one on the Natchez Trace Tour in Charleston in April 2011 for about half the $65,000. 360 miles on a body off restoration completed in 2005. Drove it 1225 miles on the tour with only very minor problems( a condenser and cut-out)

I think this was the same company that had all the trucks for sale a few months ago, the Gilmore tanker a wrecker, a express truck and a large panel truck, nice trucks, but no bargins.

Re: 1931 Ford Model A Deluxe Pick Up 66-A
When I first saw mine (in an ad) it was described as a deluxe, even down to saying it was one of ony a couple hundred built. When I called the seller on it, he revised his ad (and price), so I bought it. It does have a nice body on it, but it isn't and never was the infamous "deluxe".
