Wireloom cover "Experts" and a indepth dicussion

It was "sort of" covered (NO pun intended) before BUT some of the pictures weren't so clear and afterward neither was my understanding of them, year specific wise.....SO in my quest to be the wire loom cover "expert".....here we go, hopefully with better detailed pictures and what I know and don't know!!! In picture 1 is 5 covers I have.....In picture 2 & 3 I know is 38/Early 39. In pictures 4 & 5 I know is also 39.....can you help Identify the remaining 3. ALL 5 are different and the one has 3 openings for the wires to exit???


ALSO to for "KUBE" I finally got the cover back for my Mercury Pictures 2 & 3 and as I told you (and I know its against what you said about being black) it appears to have been painted body color to me (cloud Mist Grey) and as you see both outside and under???? SO that was my original frame of reference with these and why I immediately thought body color!! ALSO the blue cover "appears" to be the same......SO two "oddballs if you will??? Hope all is well with you Mike!!!

There have been a few covers painted body color so I can't say it never happened. What I can say is Ford intended them to be black. Some plants did things differently then others. I suspect that's how these anomalies showed up.
On the concourse you should receive a deduction for a body colored cover.
