I have a one with very minor pitting. If interested I would take a couple of pictures. I'm in Minnesota so I could ship speeDee. They are cheaper than UPS. It came from a '48 and it has the coupler on it also. Gene

There is a little ridge on the shaft. You hope fully can see some uneven wear on that part of the shaft. Just thought I would let you know about this.

Here are some pics of the one I have alongside a '38-'41 ds that's ~ 2" shorter than a '42-'48 ds. This '42-'48 driveshaft has good splines on the U joint end, no wear in the center bearing area, and some wear on the pinion end splines.
