Default reduce the charging current on the generator

I want to reduce the charging current on the generator. I come to this area when installed. Maybe someone can draw me where the 3rd brush is. And where the screw is. Thanks in advance.
Greetings from Germany

In your second photo, the moveable third brush is shown. To decrease charging rate, simply move it upwards. No set screw, it slides on a track. I usually can adjust it with my fingers. Careful not to damage the carbon brush. A 10 amp charge is plenty. Basically, up to decrease charging rate and down to increase charging rate.

I use a wooden stick while it is running. Am I doing it right?

Yes, anything nonmetal is OK. Adjust higher for night driving, lower for daytime.
