Default Reproduction 28 Open Car Windshield Frame

How good are the reproduction windshield frames for 1928 open cars? I need to buy a steel one but I am not sure who I should go through. I know Snyder's carries them but are there good and bad ones out there?

Hi, Chrs1961815...thought I'd respond because I've recently corresponded with Don Snyder III about their windshield frames. Unfortunately, Snyder's source for these steel frames is not certain at this time, and there are none left in stock anywhere that I could find. I will eventually need one of these for my '30 Cabriolet, but Snyder's could not tell me when they will be back in stock for ordering. Sorry to the bearer of bad news...if nothing changes before I need one, I guess I will be looking to buy and refurbish an original, which looks like a lot of work, but may be our only option in the future. Let us know if you find other resources!

Chris, Are you looking for an open car (roadster, roadster pickup or phaeton) frame? They are the open cars for '28. Don is talking about a frame for his cabriolet, which actually uses closed car frame, completely different animal.

Chris,

You might try Brookville Roadster at (937) 833-4605 or:

www.BrookvilleRoadster.com

They sell the Standard and Deluxe windshield.
