Light Alinement

Does Anyone have info on headlight alinement? I'm thinking if I had some measurements I could use tape as a bulls eye on my shop door. Help?? Ken

Hopefully this helps. From a 1938 ford reference manual.

Put the nose of the vehicle against the door or wall you are gonna shine the lights on.
Put a piece of tape or other mark on the wall/door directly in front of each head light.
Now back the vehicle straight back for 20 feet.
Put the heights on high beam and adjust so each light is shining level and straight onto your marks.
After you’ve done that when you put the lights on dim they will automatically shine down the right distance provided the floor the vehicle is on is level.
In California they require the lights be adjusted to drop a quarter inch for every 20 feet they shine ahead of the vehicle when on high beam.
