Default Bill Wzorek Re-conditioned 34 shocks

I received my Bill Wzorek re-conditioned shocks this morning and have already installed them on the Cabriolet chassis. They look and feel great, he did a wonderful job, however I have a question - do you lubricate the 'dog-bone' rubbers with rubber friendly lube?

I put some O-Ring lube on the steel ball and the inside of the rubber ball. I left the outside of the rubber dry.
