Now I'm confused, I thought my 38 one ton had 14" drums but when I I measured the front it comes out 12" and 1.75 width shoes. I have not pulled apart the Timken rear end yet but the drums definitely look bigger. Any thoughts???

The '42- '47 tonner has 12" brakes on front and 14" on rear. the earlier tonners may be the same.

I think that's the case. So will regularly 12" shoes work up front and does anyone have an idea as to were I could find 14" rear shoes or material.

Any big truck shop should be able to get your shoes relined or direct you to someone who can.
