For those companies that won't ship to NZ or charge exorbitant postal rates, you can get them to ship to NZ Post in the States and they ship them to NZ at a more reasonable rate although not that cheap!

The horrific price of shipping from the US has been mentioned here many times. So long as you are not in a hurry for the parts, I suggest you talk to someone who brings in stuff from the US, maybe cars. Often, they will use some of the space in the container to put your parts at a rate far more reasonable than paying for transport by air. I use a guy who brings a container over regularly. I just get the goods (not necessarily car parts) delivered to his depot, then collect them from his depot here.
