Default 30-31 model a cowl question

i was at a car show yesterday and a guy selling model a parts told me that a cowl for a coupe was different from the sedan/truck cowl.he said the upper door hinge on the coupe was in a different location from the sedan/truck.is this true

This question was answered not long ago. The coupe cowl hinges are spaced exactly the same as the sedan cowl. The "A" pillar on the coupe however is about 1 1/4 inches shorter than the sedan. The difference is from the top of the top hinge to the top of the "A" pillar. I used a coupe cowl to build a fun pickup. If I can remember how I will post a picture here. Adding a spacer and relocating the sun visor screws is the only modification required.

thank you sir, i bought a cowl from the guy yesterday he said it was for sedan/truck thats where he was telling about the coupe cowl..when i returned home i measured the other 3 cowls i have out of the 3 other 2 were shorter on the top,should have measured the distance between the hinges ....so that puts me to having to sedan/truck cowls and 2 coupe cowls..thank you very much for the info this will help out in the future...
