Default interchanging fuel pump 1946 59-a

My question is, I have 1946 59-AB V8,will the 49-53 pump bolt on? I just need for start up, not a permanent pump. The arm & cup look the same, just not sure.

Thanks for any help,
Steve

Not sure about the mounting, I know they use different gaskets.

No, the 49-53 fuel pump has a different/larger mounting flange than was used on '48 and earlier fuel pumps. Even if the bolt hole center to center is the same, the actuating arm location may not allow the pump to work properly.

Posted about this last week. They looked alike to me but I didn't want to cut away part of the lower mounting flange of a new pump to see. One poster said he ground away the bottom part of the flange, mounted it and has driven on it for many years with no problems. A good hint was to undo the screws and rotate the unit so the connections are directed the same as the early pump. That part was easy.
