Default headlight bar help

my 32 full fender sedan has high boy headlight stands instead of a headlight bar, i purchased a dropped headlight bar to replace the stands, only to discover the bar is not wide enough. the bar measures 37 1/2 bottom and 42 at the top the car measures 38 1/4 bottom and 43 at the top. how do fix this? the car was built over 25 years ago been updating over the last few months.

It helps if you loosen the fender braces at the frame which allows the fenders to tip inward to meet the bar.

bmita.....I'll be at Chubby's Pizza in Blanchester tomorrow evening (cruise in) if it isn't raining. Look me up! I'll be driving my '32 Ford Sedan with a dropped headlight bar. You can measure it and ask questions. The cruise in runs from 4-to around 7:30PM.

What TJ recommends usually works for me by the way!

Stay Safe!

I just measured my Drakes aftermarket dropped headlight bar as best as I could, since it is installed on my full-fendered original steel 32. It measures 37 1/2 and 42 inches from hole to hole.
My guess is that once you loosen the fender braces, there will be enough fender movement to get the dropped headlight bar installed.
Hope that helps....
