I'm gonna drive my M38 army jeep in the parade tomorrow with some old vets along for the ride. I was never in the service, but many thanks to all who have served.
Oh, and free lunch at the VFW afterwards. gonna be a good day !

Thanking all of the vets, for their service.

Remember Memorial Day is to honor those service members who made the ultimate sacrifice for this country. Veterans Day is when we remember and pay tribute to all who served.

Tomorrow I will fly my cloth 48 star flag in honor of my uncle, Harley Johnson, who was killed in action in Italy on November 23, 1943.

X4 on Pete's posting. Thanks to all our veterans. Freedom is not free and we have it because our veterans fought for it.

Parade shots. We had about 10 military vehicle's in the parade in Excelsior Mn. Mostly jeeps, a couple M37 dodges, the Ward LaFrance wrecker, and a lone Landrover ambulance. Many Vets rode along with us. Here's my buddy's WW2 ward LaFrance with my jeep behind to give you an idea of the size of the monster. Lots of shift levers in that thing too while its a hot topic.
