Vacuum line instalation on standard 31 coupe.
Hi, I was hoping someone could advise me on how to install the covered steel tube that runs up the inside of the windshield support on the passanger's side of my 31 standard coupe. My car doesn't to seem to have one in place so I bought the steel line from Snyder's a while back. I can't for the life of me figure out how to fish it down inside without taking the visor off and who knows what else. With the small bend, I figure it must go in from the top. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks!

not sure either but if you don't get more responses, you could run rubber vac line, use steel line where it shows and connect rubber vac line to it ???

Re: Vacuum line instalation on standard 31 coupe.
Remove the inside cowl panel next remove the windshield Swing arms.
Now open the windshield as far as possible put a card board box on the tank and rest the windshield on it. Now remove the "passenger side" side Windshield Pillar Garnish piece. The vacuum line is bend and then placed behind the garnish piece. If you have a Bratton's catalog please read his tip on page 101 Last edited by Joop; 09-30-2010 at 11:16 AM. |

I think JOOP meant to say "passenger side" windshield pillar garnish, The picture in Bratton's page 101 is helpful.
