Default Just adjusted brakes....Man does this thing STOP!!!

Like the title says I just adjusted the brakes on my model A. First time I have done it since taking ownership in Feb.

I thought the brakes were a little lacking, but weren't horrible. But now that I have adjusted them, It will throw you threw the windshield. good enough for me!!

I am glad for you. I know it seems like some of us beat this proverbial horse to death but Model-As do require routine maintenance ....and while it is a pain to do, the rewards are generally worth the effort. I bid you many miles of happy trails in your 'new car'.

Thanks Brent. I'm really enjoying this thing. It's really been fun to adjust and tinker trying to make it better. I think it helps that my pickup has pretty good bones to start with and just needed some maintenance to bring her back up to snuff.

Bhiland,
Even if your WHOLE brake system is really up to "SNUFF", brakes will NOT hold well unless your shoes are arced to get 100% contact with the drums. Look at the lining & see how much "SHINES" Bill W.
