Default 1932 Model B and "18" part numbers

Do 1932 Ford Model B cars equipped with the 4 cylinder Model B engine share "18" part numbers with the rest of the 1932 V-8 product line? Or are all Model B parts specific to Model B. I am guessing that besides the engine and some other related parts, the rest of the 1932 Model B would share "18" parts with the V-8 models. I am unable to get to my Club 1932 book presently. Thanks ahead of time for the help.

It's the other way around. There are no 18-prefix parts in a four-cylinder '32 vehicle. All of the parts of a V-8 '32 vehicle that are not engine-specific have B-prefix part number. Notable examples of the latter are 18-prefix hubcaps, but B-prefix wheels, drums, the entire brake system, the chassis frame, and all of the bolt-on sheet metal.

As for the '32 body parts, in the 132 pages of the 1932 body parts catalog there is not a single 18-prefix part listed, they're all B and BB prefixes (and some carryover truck AA-prefix parts)

Wow. Ok, cool. Thanks. A BIG thanks DavidG.

I guessed wrong. Glad to get the true facts.

Always good info over here, not like that cesspool FaceBook.
