Did anyone here know Dale Magden? The 29 Texaco Coupe.
Did anyone here know Dale Magden? He passed about a year ago and he lived by Greenlake in Seattle, Washington. He had a red pick up, a sedan, and a 29 Coupe with Texaco logos on the doors. He was very active in the local model A club.
My friend Chad ended up buying the coupe from Dan Magden, his son, a couple months ago. He rode in my pickup and I think he was hooked. I helped him awake it from it's slumber and bring it home. What we know of the coupe is it was from Idaho and used as a shop car at a Texaco station. Dale rescued it in the 70's and had it until his death. My friend Chad is preserving the car, and enjoying it. Here are some pictures of it. The first, washed. and a few from the day we went and got it and the last one is from today.

I knew dale. And I've seen the car several times. A month or so before Dale passed, several Evergreeners went over and got one of the cars running, and he was able to go for a last ride. Chuck

Nice car, does anyone know if the cowl band and cowl lights were a dealer item back in the day, or a later add on? Bob
