There was a guy, Hunley Acuff in Rossville Georgia who vulcanized the correct covers on your boards years ago. I don't know if he is still around or not. Try Googleing him. It's worth a shot.

He’s out of business. I know the guy that bought the moulds for the 39 Mercury

As the owner of a 39 Merc I'd like to get into this conversation too. Some years ago Mike Kubarth recomended Mr. Acuff because he vulcanized the covers installed. As already mentioned Mr. Acuff is out of business. Ken/Alabama is the person you know who bought the molds at Metro Moulded? My running board covers aren't bad but I'd be interested in some exact repros. Thanks guys.

The person I know is not affiliated with Metro . I do know he has the moulds for the 39 Mercury and maybe Lincoln Zephyr. I asked him about the moulds for the 40 Ford but he doesn’t have them.
