Lightbulb 1934 Ford Phaeton Owned By Jay Hertz Of Albuquerque

This 1934 Ford Phaeton was recently donated to
The Early Ford V-8 Foundation Museum in Auburn, IN
in memory of Mr. Jay Hertz who passed away
at the young age of 72 this past July.

Mr. Hertz was well known in the Albuquerque car community.

Beautiful car! I just read an obituary for Jay in the Sept/Oct issue of the Early V-8 Times. Thanks for sharing.

Looking forward to seeing it on my next visit. Sorry to hear about Mr. Hertz...way too young.

I was on a committee in the EFV8 Club local chapter with Jay, a very interesting guy! Oddly enough he was more of an early Chevy guy, had some really nice 20's vintage Chevies.

Hello Ross, I’m nearby in Corrales. Is the Albuquerque EFV8 Club active during COVID?

I actually dropped my membership, but still get all their notices. They do what they can, which isn't much. They had a cruise organized for 12/5, but it was cancelled. It's a good group, Joe Abbin has done a great job keeping up interest.

Thumbs up Re: 1934 Ford Phaeton Owned By Jay Hertz Of Albuquerque

The Early Ford V-8 Foundation Museum
is my favorite museum.

I got to see Mr. Hertz’s collection when
I picked up the Phaeton.

Steve helped Jay Hertz out for many years with
the Albuquerque car collection:

The Phaeton made the trip for California to Missouri
with a Model T:
