Kultulz
There are a lot of knowledgeable and gracious people on this forum dispensing help to all. However, I'd like to give a big shout out to KULTULZ in particular. He knows his stuff, provides documentation time and again, and his humour always makes me laugh. I'm a long ways off from starting my '56 Meteor Victoria but I'm getting a good education from him in preparation. So THANK YOU KULTULZ!

Re: Kultulz
I can second that. KULTULZ is a very knowledgeable man, and is always sharing his knowledge freely to Ford Barners. Meanwhile, here is a picture of a 1956 Meteor Rideau Victoria in the Canadian Sales Brochure, albeit in French. |

Re: Kultulz
Totally agree! He has been very forthcoming with sharing an extensive body of knowledge. Helped me out big time. Many others have, too, and it would be great to get together with them all to show our appreciation.
Oh, and Kultulz also shares a wide array of entertaining jokes on his posts...and even changes them out every now and then. |

I have been told many times that I am full of information and a few that said I am also full of sh!at ... I would tip my hap but the resulting glare may have negative effects on your monitors. I enjoy talking old FORD's as I am too damn old to work on them any longer. Again, appreciated ...

Re: Kultulz
Dmsfrr...you're an icon here at Ford Barn. You're help has been immeasurable. Not only do you give concise answers, but you actually take pictures to illustrate what you're talking about AND put arrows and words in to clarify things even further. That is incredibly generous to us who don't know that much.
Rotorwrench is pretty amazing, too, and has been very generous with his vast and extensive knowledge. If you guys were to join up with KULTULZ the three of you could probably run the Ford Motor Company. |

KULTULZ, I heard that you went to grade school with Kirk Douglas. Any truth to that?

BTW, I think that lovely woman is the beautiful Italian actress, Gina Lollobrigida. Looking at that picture, I have absolutely no idea why she was so popular back then. I think she's still alive and living in Italy. |

Thanks, I'm a literal newcomer to these 50's y-block cars and wish I had the decades of previous experience some of you already have. For some unknown reason I bought a '55 T-Bird in '12 as a retirement project, and got a little more 'project' than I expected. Luckily the internet, you members of this forum and other car guys can be a great source of info. Just passing along the things I wish I'd known back in '12 or have found out since then. 'Pictures with circles and arrows and a paragraph for each one'? Reminds me of an old Arlo Guthrie song. KULTULZ - The man is an encyclopedia of knowledge and information. Rotorwrench - He's been inside mechanical things to his elbows for a long time and knows what's up. (pun intended) I learn something new here every day. Thank you all for the things you share. I think it's their chins. They both had strong/conspicuous chins. When Rich Little used to do impressions of Kirk Douglas, he used to twist his index finger into his chin to insinuate Kirk's pronounced chin dimple. KULTULZ, how did you acquire your extensive knowledge? Were you a full time pro mechanic back in the day? Or did you do a lot of restorations? Or shade tree? What I'm most impressed with is that you can remember all that stuff. I'll do some sort of project, then forget how I did it within a few years (at least the finer points.) |

I am no one special, just a regular FORD NUT.
Parts dude (FORD), mechanic and big time truck driver. Caught DIESEL FEVER and sold 67 GT500 to buy first road tractor. Returned to working on cars. And there was a time when I would drink the wine before its time ...
