Default Original or modified Crankshaft?

Have extra weights been added to this crankshaft?

. . . by an amateur welder! Of course, a weld doesn't have to be pretty to be strong.

I have to chuckle a little as that was my reaction in exactly the same order.

No offense to jbond as hopefully the work was performed better than it looks at a glance. If so it will still provide some advantage.
