grey smoke out of exhaust - hill/slope
Hello forum! I have recently noticed that when the car is on a slight hill, or slope stationary(for example when entering my house which has a slight upward slope) grey/dark smoke comes out of the exhaust, and idle seems to be rough/slower than usual. Is this normal or should I check for something?

Re: grey smoke out of exhaust - hill/slope
I noticed it at first when parking momentarily on my entrance, but recently I had to stop on a light in an underpass(U shaped train underpass) which was really steep, and noticed idle was extremely low and rough, and saw smoke on my rear. While waiting for the light, i played with GAV to see if it made a difference and it really didnt.

A grey/blue smoke is generally the sign of oil.

Re: grey smoke out of exhaust - hill/slope
What would a cloud of brown smoke be? Not in an A but a ford t-bird mid 60's. I was told it hasn't run so good in awhile, oh yes some tire smoke also, my guess a rust clogged exhaust, teenager's!!!
