Default fuel pump pushrod

dose a 1935 aluminum manifold tale a longer push rod then a cast iron one?
and do you know the length of the aluminum one? thanks Brendan

You don't really need the numbers...there are exactly 2 lengths for '35-48 USA 221-239 engines and all the parts places carry both. Look at the rear of your manifold and the distance from bottom gasket surface to top of the oval pad where fuel pump stand goes.
If it is very roughly 1" high there, you need the short rod. If roughly 2" tall, you need the longer one. The difference USUALLY corresponds to aluminum (short rod) versus iron in OEM manifolds, including the '36. Lengths are 8.872 and 7.872.

Hey Brendan, I just measured two intake manifolds, the aluminum is shorter by one inch, aprox... I think that the pushrods are correspondingly different.... Sac Vintage Ford says alum takes a 7.872", cast iron takes a 8.872"... Karl
Oh well, guess I'm just a bit behind Bruce....
