Default !940 ford with charging problem

Hi I'am back, still working on my 1940 ford charging problem. Can any one tell me how many wires should be attached to the BAT terminal on the voltage regulator. This one has two and when you remove them and measure to voltage they both have 6.24 volts. Thanks Winchester

Mac VanPelt has the old style schematic diagrams used by FoMoCo.

Since this was a 6-volt power wire direct to the buss then they may have tapped off of it for under the hood electrical stuff. The bat connection of the regulator would be connected to the cut out pole in the diagram.
