Default "Dripless" penetrating oil

I have a sticky door latch on my '51 club coupe. The factory manual says that this should be lubricated with "Dripless Penetrating Oil". Does anyone know what this is or what would serve the same purpose?

Thanjks, "petehoovie". I guess I should have "Googled" it first, but it's more fun asking here!

I can tell you what NOT to use "fluid film" it works fine in warm weather but when the cold hits the lube binds up.

Get yourself an aerosol can of motorcycle chain-oil.

This stuff is made to cling and not drip. Also, like all oils, it creeps (penetrates)...

Dripless penetrant was just a basic heavy oil that was mixed with a fast evaporating solvent. It's not so much that it won't drip out of the can since it is thinned with the solvent but after application, the solvent evaporates and then the residual oil stays in place better. These types of lubricant were obsoleted by spray lubricants a long time back.
