Default Price for rolling chassis

Going to look at a rolling chassis tomorrow and have no idea what it is worth. I can imagine the value is about condition and location, includes an extra engine and NOS parts. Any comments? The seller only want's to keep the body.
Thanks for any guidance you can offer.

Last one I bought was $1000 which was in 'fair' condition. Story was that it had been a complete runner but (Tudor) body taken off to be a hotrod and had then been outside under a tarp for a couple of years (read five).

Motor did run as it turned out and is now in my Dad's pickup

With a title more, with out less. Running driving more, push it around(roller) less.

A few years ago I took running chassie to our swapmeet. You could actually drive it around. It also had tires from the late 70s that had never been used.(probably not worth much) . I asked two grand and sold it on the last day for 1300.There was no title. Frank

It all depends on condition, if it has a title and for what car.

I paid $2500 for one, restored 20 years before and placed in storage, BUT it was for a matching numbers frame and motor with a title for a 30 Station Wagon. Because of this I was willing to pay more.

I paid $2500 for a complete roller with title and a rebuilt engine and a trailer load of parts which I sold for more than I paid .

Thank you all very much for your responses. They give me a better idea, matching numbers, title, parts etc.
Great, thanks

I rather suspect that pricing may be somewhat affected by regional pricing matrices. I live in Georgia, and I paid $300 for a non-running but complete running gear four years ago, but also paid $1,800 each for two running chassis' with remnants of bodies still intact (one a '28/29 phaeton and the other a '29 Town Sedan) back in the 2010/2011 time frame. A few years back before that, I also paid $1500 for just a running "31 chassis with a bad set of coupe/roadster rear fenders, and a deluxe roadster windshield , a set of deluxe roadster windshield stanchions, and '30/'31 open car lower stanchion posts. Hope this helps.

I paid $2800 for two frames (one useable) two motors
(One a boat anchor) all the glass, door hardware, radiator
Apron, light bar, Fordor body that needs wood
repair or added and eight wheels. I thought it
was a bargain at the time. I have spent a lot of time and money
To just get chassis in order

Update---
We went to look at the frame, a 30 or 31. The frame and brake rods etc. very nice and the back plates and brakes and drums rusted but probably useable. The engine in the frame and spare engine had been left open through the intake and exhaust ports and may or may not be useable. But, the so called "lots of NOS" was bogus. several boxes with a few old parts in each and one NOS cross member with the tag still on it. I expected NOS in original old packages. Oh well. The asking price is $3,000.
Not a dead issue but not a gotta have either!

Worked ok for me. What is the first part of the web address that shows up? Is it Viglink?

Try this, http://www.ebay.com/itm/252843463904

Must be a Minnesota thing. I clicked on the link and it took me straight to the listing on eBay.
