Default Can anyone help ID this body number?

I have a 1929 Standard Coupe, engine # *A2127872* which was made on August 13, 1929. The firewall has a date stamp of August 6, 1929. The generator band is stamped 8J for August 1929 and the generator armature has two stamps : 7J for July 1929, and 829, presumably for August 1929.

I have never heard of this location before, but the upper frame rail on the passenger side, just forward of the seat riser, abreast of the sill plate, and to the side of the floorboard is stamped with what looks like the number 15837. The attached pictures, which were taken with an oblique light shining on them, show what appears to be an F before the number, but that is not at all clear to the naked eye. If it is an F it would indicate the body was made in Dearborn, but does the body number make sense when combined with all the other data?

I've attached two pictures showing the number and it's location and a close up on the number itself.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Well the "F" is for Dearborn (or Fordson) but the high 15837 is kind of a mystery for August 1929 especially considering only 13013 Standard (and Special) Coupes were produced in 1929.

That number is kind of not right for just the Standard Coupe because Ford combined the Standard and Special Coupe into one column.

It could be that Ford combined ALL coupes in the numbering system for 1929 as the Standard and Special Coupe was 13013, the Sport Coupe was 9936 and the Business Coupe was 2720 for Dearborn (F) production in 1929.

OR whoever stamped the number, stamped the wrong number into the subrail of the body.

Any other ideas?
