Default Windshield replacement 1935 Cabriolet

Fully restored '35 Cabriolet. Windshield glass has some scratches. I'm Thinking about replacing the glass. How difficult is that to do? Does anyone have step by step instructions? One club member says the dashboard has to be removed. Is that so? Alternatively, does anyone have a method for removing light scratches from the glass?

Try Eastwood, http://search.eastwood.com/search?w=...olishing%20kit for a kit to polish glass. I have never used their product just heard about it. You might also ask a local used car dealer if they have someone that polishes windows on cars they are going to sell. If the scratch is in the line of sight you may have problems with optical distortion.

I would definately try the Eastwood scratch kit 1st. To get to the screws that hold the bottom of the 35/36 CABRIOLET windshield frame requires the Dash be removed as well as the header cover to get at the top scews. I hope nothing ever happens to my windshield or the frame I dont want to do that job again...ever
