i have a 51conver with an overdrive trans can the trans be taken out with out taking out the motor because of the x frame tranny needs two come out oil leaks at the shafts on the tranny thanks

No need to remove engine or rear. The cross member comes out.

make sure you take the solenoid out before taking trans out

Have a rag handy to poke in the solenoid hole when you turn it 1/4 turn to take out. Also a good idea to replace the solenoid seal while you have the transmission out. Charles
