Re: Anyone running Shock Absorbers from Snyder's?
I just bought a set from Brattons, getting ready to install. Were the original shocks painted? If so, painted black?
Thanks ! |

This is not true. It says right in their catalog "Shocks are factory SEALED. They will not accept any new oil. The outer chamber is DRY. DO NOT ADD OIL TO SHOCK.".

I am a great believer that if you want the best quality you will have to pay the price. Fine quality does not come cheap whether it is in car parts or diamonds or steaks.

Re: Anyone running Shock Absorbers from Snyder's?
Hey Ronn, hopefully sometime this month, Pat tells me front end is almost done. I need to call Travis on a rear spring. Getting itchy to do some driving!! That said, just returned from mid day dog walk and it feels like March out there here in CT... hope you are well!

Working in Germany years ago at a JD plant I'd go to lunch in the factory lunchroom. They had beautiful plates and dinnerware with the John Deere logo they used. Wash them and use again, not like over here where you get a styrofoam plate that goes in the trash. I flipped a plate over and it said 'Macht en Deutschland' on it. When I mentioned to a German co-worker and friend about that he said to me real matter-of-factly 'Of course. We watch out for each other. Not like you Americans that buy so much from other countries and send your jobs overseas.' No way to argue with that. He was/is 110% correct. |

Re: Anyone running Shock Absorbers from Snyder's?
I have a set of older made (foreign I believe) and they have failed. One was empty of fuid but adding fluid didn't help. The previous owner purchased them a year or so before I took possession. At the time over $700 for the set.
In my opinion, not a good buy! |
