Default Interior Installation

Hello you guys have been very helpful and now i have another question

How hard is it to install the interior? My plans are to purchase the kit from Lebaron Bonney

The headliner is my main concern. Should i be concerned with more than that?!

tks
Mike

This spring, I installed my first interior. I got the kit from LeBaron Bonny. I found the head liner was one of the easiest parts of the installation.

The seats took a bit of work mostly because I felt the instructions were a bit lacking.

Be sure to look at their "On-Line" instructions as far as the seats are concerned. They are much better then the written instructions that come with the kit.

Over all, the interior on my car really came out well. I would certainly do another one.

My experience,

Chris

Mike: It depends on whether you've done it before. I never did, so I had to go very slow. I had to redo some things. My upholstery came from Cartouche. I had to read the instructions very slowly and carefully. With the headliner I marked the midpoint of every cloth tab and every wooden roof beam with chalk. Then matched them following instructions carefully. I still had to redo it 2 or 3 times until I was satisfied. I could only get seat covers on by using large carpenter's clamps to keep seat springs compressed. I didn't/couldn't use as much stuffing as they gave me. I had to trim 1 or 2 door panel cardboards about 1/8 inch for them to fit properly. My finished job is not a "show stopper," but it looks OK and my grandchildren don't care as long as we're going towards the ice cream shop!! L.O.L. Just be patient & do a little at a time. Good luck.
Mitch

Just done my '30 coupe myself. I used a Cartouche, and the headliner was no issue at all. Just read and lay it all out so you can see everything. It can be done at home with patience.

I second all the above comments, but it was not a easy job ( for me at least ) I bought the kit from Lee Chatterton material wise perfect but the instructions ?????.
Never the less with a lot of patience doing things over and over again to get it right took some time : For the statistics, I used well over 2500 T 5 staples .
Will try to upload a picture don't know if it will work this time.
