Re: Help with a measurement
We used to make gaskets at work. Just lay it over the piece and take the round end of a small ballpeen hammer and tap over the bolt holes and it cuts them out like a hole punch. Same with the impeller hole and around the outside edge. That's how we kept equipment in service when there were no gaskets available. You can even use Gasgacinch to hold the gasket in place, it will let you peel it off when you're done.

Correct, BUT would like the BOTH early and late so I will have both blocks covered as I need it for 32,35 & 37 personally and will be covered for any friend who needs to use them in the future. And correct NO large center hole, just the bolt centers and a relative OD to cover the hole and bolt circle |

Re: Help with a measurement
37 (if late) would be the same as 59A if it helps at all.

Re: Help with a measurement
Robert,
For '32-'36 block-off plates picture an elongated diamond shape 2 1/2" wide by 4" tall with the two holes for the 3/8" bolts 2 7/8" apart on center. Post '36 block openings are larger, but I've not one handy to measure; sorry. Last edited by DavidG; 05-24-2022 at 03:59 PM. Reason: correction |

Re: Help with a measurement
Robert,
In case you do not get a better answer, here's a scan of a '37 + water pump gasket. The large opening hole is 2 7/8" in diameter. The two 3/8" bolt holes nearly, but not quite, opposite one another are 4 7/8" apart on center. |

Re: Help with a measurement
Robert you could use the factory block offs for the 37 blocks. I have extras if you need a set.

Re: Help with a measurement
In case you still want the dimensions, here is a drawing based on a gasket. The extra width is needed at the bottom to cover a small water hole.
