If you'd want to sell the tool as a sample, I'd be willing to have it scanned and make a couple hundred with the local laser cutter guy

There has been some interest in this tool so I have made a sketch of it. I scribed a 13/16" circle and a 5/8" square for the hole. Then I drilled holes in the four corners and then the center. Then it was whittling the flats into the scribed circle with a 3/8" round coarse file and finishing it with a 3-sided one. I often checked the shape with the head of the one bolt I was able to remove. When it was pretty close I pressed the head into the hole to get the right fit. I believe these are correct dimensions but check them as you go. Some grinding on corners may be needed to get the proper fit.

Yesterday I disassembled the other side in two hours. The first side took two days. I only needed the tool for one bolt and only had to heat two. I was surprised to find this fibrous hair like substance inside. I can't imagine what it is or how it got there. The first thought was copper wire but it crumbles to the touch. Also some gravel was inside that was too large to sneak through the gap between drum and backing plate.
Just one more mystery.
I wish 35fordtn well on the idea of making the tools. Let me know if you need me to send mine. I assume the sketch and scanning the bolt head may be all you need.
Thanks again for the interest.
