Kevin can you elaborate more:: are you talking about the tack rail ? We're these the original gutters you had on the car originally?

I used them a couple times and did not have any trouble at all. They snapped together very securely using a hub cap mallet to do it. Make sure you tap them on using the right angle for them to snap.... One trick I do is use small screws (I think brass or aluminum forget bought at lowes, Phillips heads )to secure the tack strip instead of nailing down. I pre drill a much smaller hole into the wood first. This gives it easy removal and allows me to not distort the tack strip which will happen when using nails.. Once the gutter is snapped on nobody will know..
Having new or good wood for the screws to grab is helpful, and you don't need to put them in every stinkin hole.. Space them out every few inches or so

I would even reinstall originals that way. It ridiculous how they were nailed in ever little hole when originally built..

John the woodworker, taught me to use a small finishing nail, in a drill motor, to drill pilot holes. It DOESN'T remove wood, just pushes it aside, & gives the screw threads a BETTER GRIP!

That's a good idea POP but when I piloted the holes I went a lot smaller so it's worked good this way also..maybe I'll try that next time

The Finishing Nail "drill" wurks good, in wood, when you've BROKEN all your TINY bits. NEVER buy one 1/16" bit, buy 6 or 8---------

From some of the comments on this site, the level of service at Snyders seems to have deteiorated in the last while. Call and speak to the owner. Wayne

Snyder's tells you up front that they don't do back orders. I have yet to have them notify me when a part I wanted finally came into stock. As Mitch says: "Call them (again)"
