Default spark plug question

Which plug is better Champion or Autolite?
Also which number plug?

Also is there any real advantage to using the "Show Plugs" sold by Sneider's or Bratton's?

I have a very nice driver !930 Coupe that is straight stock except for the generator - replaced with a alternator

TIA

I think you'll find it is more of a personal preference. Either plug will work fine. I don't like autolite plugs for modern cars but they work great in my A and T. I'm sure you'll find some with the same opinion about Champions. There is no advantage to using show plugs unless you're car is being judged in a show. They do not perform any better.

If your engine is running nice use your preference plug in the same heat range.

What plug depends a lot on how you drive your car, the fuel you use, timing etc. Just about any plug that fits the hole will run the engine but for max performance the proper heat range must be found.

Here is a link that will tell you how well your plugs are working for the heat range.

heat range test

Hotter to colder
