Default 1937 Sedan Steering Column Colour

Were all 1937 sedan steering columns/gear levers painted the same colour or did they vary with upholstery colour?

If all the same is there a modern paint colour code/name that generally matches the original steering column and gear lever colour?

Thanks in advance.

The deluxe models had a brown steering column and the color was called Rustic Brown. The standard models had a black steering column. Which model is your car?

I think there is an earlier post by 1937sedandelivery that identified a modern paint color that matched Rustic Brown pretty accurately.

The Early Ford V-8 Club's 1937 book documents the color of the various components. It is a great reference.

Thanks Zeke,

It's a Deluxe. I was fairly sure that I had seen something posted about the colour a while ago but couldn't find it.

Lignite by Colorpak available in a can is a pretty close match.
Available at most paint shops in NZ.

Here is the link to the discussion I remembered. I may have seen it on the Early Ford V8 website. https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showt...ighlight=paint
