Club members use the small magnet from Harbor Freight in the glass bowl to catch small rust particles.
I installed a PENCIL FILTER on top of my gas shut off, it's about a 2" filter screen that goes into the tank and keeps the "hole" from plugging. Parts suppliers have them. Must drain tank to install. The PF solved my gas flow woe. Good luck
