AA Truck worm gear identity
I was reading Neil Wilsons excellent "The Double A er" for April 2017 and the damage caused by using the wrong oil . It jogged my memory and after a dig through my "stores" I came across a NOS bronze worm gear, cant remember where it came from. I remember now I did have two one went to New Zealand ( I think ) It has 29 teeth It has a small "Ford" script followed by "1" the next two teeth around "5" . It could be TT also is it high 5.17 or low 7.25 ???. Any call for this should I put in my "carry on"when I next visit my lonely trailer in sunny Chandler AZ ??? .The way Covid 19 is going it wont be for a while !!!
John dreary rainy Suffolk County England I really should be on the plane to sunny AZ !!! |

Re: AA Truck worm gear identity
Found this on a Model T site. " The high speed worm will have 6 teeth the bronze gear will have 31 teeth. The low speed worm has 4 teeth and the bronze has 29."
