Another banjo wheel question
Somebody put a banjo wheel in my 35,I don't like the thing.I want to go to the stock wheel.Am I right in assuming I will need a different light switch/horn rod?The only catalog I have is Joe's,and I only see a 32 rod listed there.

Re: Another banjo wheel question
Ray...The 37 horn rod will not interchange with a 35 if using a 35 steering wheel. The 35 horn button end is significantly larger in diameter.

Re: Another banjo wheel question
As Don is suggesting, it will depend on the vintage of the steering wheel. If it is the '36 version, the horn/light switch rod is the same as that used on '35s with the possible exception of the color of the plastic.

Re: Another banjo wheel question
I have a stock 35/6 standard wheel I'll swap with you. I'll even throw some boot $ in ,just to be fair! The switch/horn will work with this wheel

Re: Another banjo wheel question
You can use your existing horn rod and turn it 90 degrees. If you really want a correct 35 steering wheel, then it needs to look like the attached photos. 35 wheels had extra ridges while 36 wheels did not.

Re: Another banjo wheel question
Thanks Don.This car has been through too many fix ups over the years to worry about correctness. The later style would be fine for me.Somebody has offered to buy me a new repro wheel for the wheel I have now.I told him the spokes feel a little loose in the hub,he just said yes,I figured they would be.He seems to know how to deal with it.
