Extended Cab Deluxe Pickup
Before anybody hyperventilates, the description says the unique Deluxe parts were not modified. I like pickups and have owned a non-Deluxe. But I do think the bed looks too small in relation to the cab. Extending the cab only makes it worse but the proportions are better with the Deluxe bed.

Re: Extended Cab Deluxe Pickup
Looks like a clown car. It needs a longer bed or at least a longer wheelbase.

Um. The tubular rails on the bed make it look like the car that carries the flowers to the graveyard.

I think a better color scheme might help. The Service Car is an AA version of the Deluxe pickup with both a longer wheelbase and a longer bed. It used the regular truck closed cab. To my eye, the 28 - early-31 pickup bed is too small for the regular cab. The late-31 wide bed is a little better and the Deluxe bed is better still. Last edited by CHuDWah; 12-10-2022 at 10:51 PM. |

Yup. I've also seen a prototype drawing with a slant windshield and side lights on the cab upper rear quarters like a Town Car Delivery. But the standard truck closed cab was used in production. |

Re: Extended Cab Deluxe Pickup
This thread is not for judging standards nor a beauty contest but…
The roof line is not good; had it been more like a coupe. With painted metal over the doors and the top line on the back panel better Lose the white walls I sorta like the concept just not exactly the lines.probably started with sedan?? Door width looks so but not sure. |

Just to be clear, the truck isn't mine and I didn't build it. I just find it interesting - kinda ute-like. Yeah, I think the goal was more room - having owned a regular closed cab, I know they're tight. |

Re: Extended Cab Deluxe Pickup
If we look at the pictures in the link, it appears the top is painted with that fake vinyl top stuff they sprayed on in the sixty.

Re: Extended Cab Deluxe Pickup
To me it just doesn't look right, like the front axle is to far back.

Dunno what they started with but I agree on the roof line. The quarter windows are too narrow, almost like MoPar. It would look better with coupe-size windows but then the doors would have to be narrower. The vinyl(?) top doesn't help - full metal painted body color ŕla late-31 would be better. I'm ambivalent re the WWW - they're "flashy" but they do look more, well..."Deluxe." I do think the truck would look better with a darker color scheme. |

Although I dont like it, I certainly appreciate the effort involved.

Re: Extended Cab Deluxe Pickup
It looks like a new ‘22/‘23 Ford Maverick truck…. you know the one you can’t get fast enough.
