Default water pump packing

Do I have to drain my radiator to change water pump packing?

I think if you have the original style pump you will have to drain it at least halfway probably more.

You don't have to drain anything to do that job. It will drip a little bit but you can unscrew and repack very quickly with a rag on the floor.
