hi Ron, I contacted the previous owner who restored this car and this was his reply:-
"From the little information I was able to find out during the time Karen and I owned it was - Two gentleman from Adelaide had built 1911 Model T Tourer back in the 50's. From what spares they had of 1911 parts left over, they decided to built a wedding car. Plans or patterns were found in NZ and they went about building the Town Car.
Unfortunately one of the gentleman passed away and the Town Car was sold at auction in the 60's to John Longhurst (Tony's Father) it was stored in a museum at Dreamworld for 20/30 years until John sold Dreamworld and it was moved to his Coomera home. We purchased it in 2005 in a sad state, which required a full found up resto.
With Karen gradually becoming unwell and our move closer to Brisbane and Hospitals we chose to put it back on the market, Tony purchased it back in 2016 and it has been on display at "Garage 25" on the Gold Coast ever since.
So, the answer is no....It is not an original but built from plans or patterns of an original from NZ."
I hope that this answers your Question. Regards Mercman <><

Beautiful car, even if it is a replica (or whatever the correct term is for it).

Ford also built a few Model A town cars - don't think there were any after that. I never could understand why they bothered. Ford was known as a car for the "common man" - people who could afford a chauffeur-driven car wanted something more ostentatious. So sales were poor and production low - they even had to force dealers to buy the A version. In turn, dealers had to convert some to taxis just to sell them. Ironically, Ford town cars are highly desirable now, so much so that they are replicated like this one.
