I have used the Bill Hirsch paint for the last 20 years. It resists gas and oil, brushes on very smooth and is very durable. You can also spray it. Excellent engine paint. Does not burn off or chip. Has a very long shelf life too. You will be pleasantly surprised. Just remove all oil and grease before painting.

Hirsch paint holds up very well. Not an accurate match to the authentic but it does hold up well.

I’ve used the Hirsch paint on my 49 Dodge Wayfarer Roadster Flathead and I’m very pleased with it. I haven’t had any experience on how the paint in the white and green can holds up. That’s why I asked, believe I’ll go with Hirsch on the Ford also.

Thanks

I also recommend Hirsch paint. It applies easily and last a long time.

I have had good luck with KBS coatings paints. Flows out nice. Never used the Ford green so can't say about the match. The Ford blue matches well.
