Default Ford paint schemes????

Were the paint codes strictly Fords??? I just finished watching a movie, Bobby Jones: Stroke of Genius. The last part of the movie was set in 1930 and the auto he had was not a Ford Model A, what type I have no idea but.....the wheels were Apple Green. Just wondering...................

Different manufacturers had different names for colors that are real close to other manufacturers but different and possibly if the paint came from the same paint company, the same number.

I'm sure, as today, anyone can paint anything any color/way they want. Not everything "back in the day" was stock. JMO

Hard fro me to see the front since it's a year left side camera shot, can't see the grill, does look like a Ford Motometer on the rad but who knows???

Nevermind...I found the car....1930/31 400A Convertible Sedan...first one I'd ever seen used in the movies.
