Early ‘28 model A roadster question.

I don’t usually post on here, spend more time on the HAMB.
My question is , did the early ‘28 Model A roadsters not have the swaging around the quarter panels ?

Can you define swaging as it applies to your question??

If you are speaking of the beaded mouldings on the body, all of the 40A bodystyles had them. That appears to be a fabricated quarter panel. The rear bustle was likely cut off at some point to convert the Roadster into a Truck. Someone fabricated the quarter panels.

We call it swaging, don’t recall it being called beading, (probably differences from one country to another). The curve behind the rear window also seems more pronounced. I wondered whether it was hand made, or perhaps a very rare early transition model from model T to model A. Although unlikely to have such an early A in New Zealand, hence my original question.
Either way, it looks really nice !
I would be interested in any other opinions out there.

Yes, the panel above the rumble lid is way too curved. The profile should match the top of the lid.

Joined here 11 years ago, (due to being a sister site to the HAMB) possibly didn’t know how too back then, - but I have actually stated my location my posts above, no so real guessing required.....
(Have updated my details just now).
New Zealand isn’t that big, most, like myself live in the North Island, the car in question is from the South Island.
I would have been keen to buy it, but thought the rear was home made, thus diminishing any resale value, - yet I really like it......

Looks similar, but it is not a T one grafted on.
Hence my original question as to whether it was possibly an early transition model !
